Don Chu, Ph.D.

Dr. Chu received his Masters in Kinesiology and Physical Education from CSU, Hayward and his PhD and Physical Therapy degrees from Stanford University.
A noted
authority on strength training and rehabilitation, Dr, Chu's ongoing
commitment health care includes:
Former President, California Physical Therapy Board.
Serving as
professor emeritus from CSU,
East Bay (Hayward), 1969 to
1992
Director, Athletic Training and
Rehabilitation Stanford University 2001-2003.
Member, Board of
Directors National Athletic
Trainers Association 1978-1982.
Having trained numerous national and Olympic champions, Dr. Chu was inducted into the National Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in 2001 and USA Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Hall of Fame, in 2003
Dr. Chu is the
author several several books and chapters in texts on Sports Medicine,
including “Jumping into Plyometrics, 2nd edition”, “Power Tennis
Training”, “Explosive Strength & Power” and “Plyometric
exercises with the Medicine Ball, 2nd edition”.
Dr. Chu has also authored numerous academic works including the
recent: "Integrative
Training for Children and Adolescents: Techniques and Practices for
Reducing Sports-Related Injuries and Enhancing Athletic Performance.
