DAN BUCH

For those who are crazy enough to be into gear :

"I use Yamaha Maple Custom drums for their consistent sound and their depth of tone. I also use DW drums as they remind me of my beloved Camco kit of days gone by. I have always felt that the core of my kit is of the great importance.  The kick, snare, ride and hats must have a nice sound and feel.  I also want these core elements of the kit to fill me with confidence in their sound and construction.  If any of these core components are not performing well, then the rest of the kit may not sound or feel right.  I use Regal Tip 3A and Rock size sticks. I endorse Regal Tip drumsticks as they offer uncompromised quality and feel. Thank you Regal Tip for your dedication to the art of drumming! While I believe that equipment is never a substitute for technique and musicality; nice sounding instruments can help inspire and motivate us!"

The core of my kit consists of:
A) 22"  Yamaha Maple Custom or DW Kick drum

B) Yamaha 14x 6/12 Maple Custom, or 2 Identical Ludwig Acrolite (1968) snares . I always use coated ambassador
heads on snare drums.

1) 13" Zildjian K Mastersound Hi Hats, or 12" Istanbul Mehmut Radiant Hi Hats

3) 20" Zildjian K Ride, or 20" Zildjian Earthride ride

G,G, F) DW Titanium 9000 double pedals and DW 9500 Hi Hat.  I use Danmar felt  beaters.

(Read my review of the Ti 9000 pedal here)
